Mom, The FBI is Here and They are Arresting Daddy
A daughter should not have to say these words simply because her family is Christian
Banging, Banging, Banging at our front door
“Who has come?” we ask, “our neighbors for sure”
But alas, no. Agents armed to the teeth
Guns drawn and their fury on us, release
Handcuffed, absent from wallet, keys, and phone
Agents take dad away, hearts cold as stone
Lights flashing and engines whirl as they go
We, left in shock, disbelief, and woe
Ev’n in midst of horror, we still survive
And will know: Demons don’t just arrive
To break our bodies and steal our gold
Rather, they try to ransom to Satan our souls
So fight now and stand for the preborn’s cause!
Stand against tyranny and wicked laws
Though in jail, your destination may wait
In heaven, your reward shall be great!
An 18 month old, six more siblings, and both mom and dad, where home October 5th 2022 at 7:15 AM when the FBI rolled in with a 4 man SWAT team. Our school day started, and ended abruptly, with an armed agent holding 3 of my children in the driveway on the side of the house. At the same time three more agents banged and rattled the house. No one inside was left unmolested by the invasion of the FBI agents on that peaceful fall morning one year ago today.
As we look at the 1 year anniversary of this event. I’m sharing the poem one of my daughters wrote the next day. Once I returned to the family and we had put aside that day of weeping and mourning. We reflected on the events in light of God’s design. I’m very proud my daughter was able to see the difference between worldly tribulation and ultimate judgement. She ministered to my heart as a father and I pray the sentiment will encourage your soul as well.
As we talked we realized the enemy, intended to make big headlines, spread fear among Christian Pro-lifers, and perhaps even Trump supporters. (There is news just coming out today of the DOJ targeting supporters of our former president as “domestic terrorist”.) But we know in all of the machinations of men, God still has a purpose and still reigns in the affairs of men. We have been comforted by that fact throughout this year of trials and tribulations.
The family is doing as well as one would expect having a federal indictment with a potential 11 year sentence hanging over their husband and father. But in the midst of the political insanity we call America, God shows his grace in incredible ways and is faithful through every trial. Last week we started homeschool coop for this year and everyone is getting back into a normal routine. Our 2nd daughter is getting married this December and we are all excited for the young couple and look forward to watching God work in their lives.
I still report in to the "Federal Overseers" in pretrial services division on the 1st of each month. We affectionately call this the PTSD department. I am limited in my travel to the middle district of TN and prohibited from being within 100' of a "Reproductive" Health Facility. But other than those reminders of the tyranny we live under, in our once free nation, life is progressing each day. Since abortion is against the law here in TN, and considering my pretrial prohibitions, we are not doing sidewalk counseling. But through these events we are looking for new avenues of ministry and I hope to announce something on the Personhood Tennessee Channel soon.
In the mean time, we continue to seek the face of God, praise Him for his wonderful works, and His patient and loving hand upon our lives. He continues to provide opportunities to speak His truth and we are grateful that He has considered us worthy to carry this small cross to be able to share the story he is writing in our lives with the world around us.
To that end, I would invite you to pray with us, for this case, and all involved. God has assembled a distinguished audience for this trial in January. Some of his most adamant enemies will be assembled at one place to hear the testimony of the defendants. The Lord promises He will give us the right words to speak at the right time, and we are praying for those words to be effective in the hearts of all who hear for their eternal benefit. We are praying for the members of the DOJ who are leading this attack against us, the judge and members of the court, the attorney’s for the defendants and the prosecution and anyone else who may happen to be near. Please join us in prayer to this end. We pray each Monday night from 6:45 - 7:30 and are praying at the Federal Court House in Nashville the first Saturday of each month from 11 - 12.

One last thought, if you are not visiting the site and keeping up with the notes and comments, you are missing some great articles surrounding the case and prolife work happening in our nation. I post short comments and links as I come across them when I don’t have time or they don’t warrant a full post sent via email. I’d love to hear your comments and any interesting information you come across.
